Are We The Pawns?

We the People, For the People, By the People.

Are you safe in your workplace, or anyplace, from retribution over a slight or contrarian view, or perhaps something that you did in the past when you where younger and dumber.

We are indeed in interesting times. Is it possible to be politically correct, when the President of our country mocks political correctness? Yet as bullying, name-calling, sexual references and misdeeds, untruthfulness, and grift, to name a few, are daily missives from the White House. A higher standard is set for others.

I have a theory that we are on some level seeking a response to our collective inability to do anything about something that many of us find disgusting and repulsive. We find a pleasure, or a sense of power in taking down those who we can. Because, we can’t touch those with the real power.

Social media and other media have been weaponized to sow rumors and expose past misdeeds of competitors, enemies, and those to be silenced.

We are all in this together, us vs. them is a perfect narrative for a few at the top to keep their base of power. They have us do their dirty work.

I write about the idea that if we talk to each other, maybe we will find our common ground. Trying to discover who we are.
